Borne from initiating, formulating and staging the first private enterprize based national annual Tourism Business Conference in Port Elizabeth in August 2003, a strategic decision was made to include conferencing and events into the group.

Angela van Vuuren, a highly qualified and experienced event specialist has been appointed as managing director of this business.

Conferencing & events brings a new dimension to Gate 7 and its clients. It has created many synergistic elements with the existing range of Gate 7 Group services which, when integrated, have created many added-value elements and unique service benefits for clients compared to that offered by conference organizers or PCO's.

We project coordinate all aspects, from initial concept development, budgeting, planning and venue selection through to production, material design & procurement, service providers, key note speaker sourcing & securing, transport, accommodation facilitations, management operations, marketing plans and post-conference follow ups.

Conference Database service
We build a delegate, supplier, feedback data base for each client event so that they can optimize ongoing marketing & potential business opportunities.

Skills
The collective skills and experience of the Gate 7 Events Team incorporate over ten years in small to large scale event management, ranging from small group, message intensive communications, through to large scale international launch events, World Cup Sports Events and International rock concerts. Event and related communications expertise covers government, pharmaceutical, automotive, health & fitness, education, sports, art and culture.
